I got a call from an American automated voice claiming to be PayPal, stating that $600 would be charged for online shipping and prompting me to press 3 to verify myself. Since I don't have a PayPal account, I recognized it as a scam and blocked the number.

I received a recorded message supposedly from VISA security, alerting me about a suspicious purchase of cryptocurrency on my card. The message offered options to cancel or allow the transaction by pressing 1 or 2. Discovering this page and reading the insightful comments provided me with reassurance.
