There is no category for this type of call, so I put it under UNKNOWN. I received a call at 6.31 pm that I missed and then another call in the next minute at 6.32pm which I answered. It was after business hours and it was an Indian lady on the other end that said “sorry it’s so late mam, how many exhaust fans do you have in your house? We are giving the covers away for free” I interjected by saying, “I don not need one as I am in a rental and our fan was replaced recently with a new fan. She asked me again how many I have, I said, “only one”. She said “is it in the bathroom?” I replied “no, it’s in the laundry” She cut me off by saying “don’t worry mam, they are free, how many exhaust fans do you have?” I firmly said, “we don’t need one because ours is new”. She hung up straight away. Very weird. Why would a company or even the government be giving away exhaust fan covers??? For one, not all households have the same size fans and two, it’s a waste of covers that would end up in landfill unnecessarily. The big question is why? Perhaps they have mini spy cameras built in or perhaps they just want your address information etc. I didn’t get that far because she hung up on me.
