Text me telling me my payment to them didnt go through. Checked my bank and they did indeed dishonour the payment.
So if this number is used to scam it is someone on the inside of Paypal. Which isnt that surprising. But yeah it should be pretty straightforward for authorities to clarify parties using the number. Too bad they give 0 fuks, just like the telcos, and will do fuk all to prevent, protect or investigate. -

During the early hours, I got a security code from this number, supposedly from PayPal, while I was asleep. Unfortunately, I learned a lesson the difficult way. A previous instance saw me receiving a similar security code, after which I logged into PayPal and updated my details. However, it turned out the 2FA was sent by a scammer, tricking me into believing it was from PayPal. Two weeks later, I discovered three unauthorized transactions of significant amounts linked to my PayPal cards.
