caller said he had the item i was looking for when i requested the cost he said $450 i said NO too expensive eventually he said he would accept $45 including postage - texted me 20-30 times requesting payment to his his BSB and ACCOUNT # - harassment made me suspect scam -then i realized he only had web images

I advertised to buy on Gumtree, and this number responded with the item I was looking for. The problem is, he asked for postage fee as a deposit, but then goes radio silent, and my money is gone with no delivery.

On Gumtree, I posted ads for collectors coins.
Joe Hayden texted back, including pictures of coins he had.
Once we had reached a price, I verified their legitimacy by requesting his address and bank information.
After depositing $200 into the provided account, I didn't hear from him again.

I had a scam attempt when I posted an ad on Gumtree to buy something. I managed to obtain the caller's address, which is 5 Dorset Place, Pt Lincoln SA. If only someone could pay him a visit and say hello on my behalf.
