   This is a genuine Origin number, however they were only calling me to try and get me to change back to their services after changing to a different energy provider. So don't answer if you aren't ready for a sales pitch, but if you are keen to haggle and get a lower energy rate then have at it.

   Received a call from this number today and was unable to answer while driving. Once stopped safely I tried to return the call only to be unable to dial it. If you have a legitimate reason to call me atleast leave me a message, I find it incredibly unprofessional that no message was left and I am unable to return the call from the displayed number, what are you hiding ??

   After reading comments this site,i strongly suspect Origin as the caller having 13 days ago transferred to another energy retailer.

   This number has called me a few times when I was busy and could not take the call. I have returned the call several times but it always engaged. I wasn't not sure who it was so had to google it and ended up here, thanks for the info. I certainly don't owe Origin any money so not sure what they are calling me about.

   Caller introduced himself as "Justin" from Origin Energy. Did not sound particularly young/old and had a clean Australian accent. After introducing himself he asked if I had spoken to his colleague "Sally" about a gas agreement. At that I asked Justin for his surname which he refused to provide. I hung up. He called back and I asked him if he has come to his senses and decided to provided his surname. He said "No" so I hung up. Have had about 10 missed calls since. In the process of blocking that number from my phone (in my opinion, its a scam).

    Thanks for previous comments. This number has reached my phone(s) three times and I can't ring back because it's always engaged. Googled number and got here. I was with Origin but I certainly don't owe them money. Next time they call I will give them a piece of my mind!

    Apparently it's a phone number for the staff crib/lynch room of origin energy employees in melbourne. I'm not with origin energy or its affiliates therefore I put it down to staff mucking around.
    reported to origin energy and acaccording to them, it's not a number intended for business use.

    another website states it is origin energy chasing outstanding amounts (unpaid bills) from like 3 or more years. I won't take call as I tried to ring back and can't get through and no voicemail - so don't trust them.
