   Got a missed call from this number at 2:45am! The voicemail left was clearly unintentional as it sounded like they hadn't hung up properly then went to the kitchen and chatted with others. The language sounded Chinese.

   Hello Optus ..Just recieved a call from Optus cold calling from this number 0289567000 which when I looked up this number shows its a constant nuisance call number.

   Ive been receiving calls from this number for the past 2 days, I refuse to answer as it is interstate and I dont give my number out. I called the number back, the recording states that it is Optus then proceeds to say if I wish to speak the the Optus Sales Team blah blah blah.. so glad my phone has an auto reject function :D

   just a minute ago I heard our landline phone ringing when I was about to take a nap when I answered the phone noone on the other end.I tried to check on google and I read these complaints about this number.I hate to answer my mobile and other phone calls because of so many unknown callers.it's all crap!

   I am receiving calls from this number too, they go to message bank and I hear hello? Hello? on the msgs, cracks me up as who says hello hello to the Optus voice mail bot? certainly not an OPTUS employee.

   I just got a call from this number saying it was Optus and they needed to do a service check. I questioned it and he got frustrated. I hung up without giving any details ... Think it's a scam, he didn't sound genuine

   I started receiving missed calls from this number last week as unfortunately at the time that they called me I was unavailable. I noted that they called about the same time nearly every day. Today I was able to pick up and a female stated she was calling from Optus rewards to see what rewards and discounts may be available to me she confirmed the number she had dialled and then asked me for my date of birth and address. I told her I was busy and asked for her contact number to call back, she would not give me one so I asked her to call me back in one hour. I then proceeded to call the actual Optus customer service number and explained what had happened. Optus document every out going call they make to customers and put it on their file. I asked them to confirm if this call was from them or if it were a scam, the could not find any record of the calls that were made to me. The customer service representative advised me that when they call me back I should ask for the callers full name and Optus employee number and then confirm with Optus the employee number. It has been well over an hour and I still have not received a call back. Should any one else receive a call from this number I would advise you to confirm the call with Optus before giving out any personal information.

    FYI - Just received a call from someone from Optus Billing about my last 2 months missed payments that I wasn't aware of. I came on here to find some credibilty but looks like I will get the ball rolling myself. I didn't answer for weeks because I didn't who the number belonged to. Cheers -
