Interestingly, nobody had my number.. I had it less than a month when the calls began, a few months ago.. The only person I'd given my number to, was my local Federal MPs receptionist.. And the calls began that night.. I found that worth thinking about.. (we were not in agreeance, btw)
I get calls from this number, from Wagga Wagga.. its always a recorded message from a robot representative, purportedly from either Amazon or Ebay, rushing to inform me that $299 (amongst different amounts) will be immediately taken from my bank account, to honour an online purchase.. To change this, i was to press 1 (from memory)..
The hurrying voice probably gives me 2 or 3 seconds to respond..
They're clever.. completely morally bankrupt, but clever.. Not giving the receiver a chance to think about it.. Leaving them open to making unexpected spontaneous, often bad, decisions..
I've read on other sites that they claim to be from the NBN, also.. They then attempt to take over our computers .. With our guidance, ofcourse..
