SCAMMERS will try and obtain personal details, bank account numbers etc to commit fraud. Stating they are calling to speak with the person who has been involved in a motor vehicle accident within the past year so they can "complete your claim" and deposit funds into your account if you give them 'your name, date of birth, address, bank account numbers etc! BEWARE of giving any personal details to any one claiming to be this company or that company. I always ask for their name and call the company they claim to be from e.g. electricity co. Legit business don't mind if you call them back to discuss accounts you may have with them, just look up their number instead of asking caller for it as they may give you a bogus redirected number if they are scammers.
